When I was a kid, my mother was a second grade teacher.  She'd have  
hectograph masters of arithmatic, spelling, and other subjects.  I was the  one to 
press the paper on the jelly and make copies for her use in class.   What 
memories!  OT, I regret....

I am very grateful  for being reminded of the ditto.

And that, in turn, has reminded me of  the day in 1950 when I became a 
publisher, having acquired a "planograph"  jelly duplicator, also known as 
a  
"hectograph."
