Christian, Here is an EAD finding aid for a collection of Japanese pamphlets with CJK: http://library.duke.edu/digitalcollections/rbmscl/japanesepams/inv/ If I'm remembering correctly, I think I used this handy site to convert description provided by our Japanese studies librarian to unicode: http://pinyin.info/tools/converter/chars2uninumbers.html The display isn't pretty, but the finding aid gets quite a bit of use according to our Google Analytics data. Hope this helps, -Noah ================ Noah Huffman Archivist for Metadata and Encoding Rare Book, Manuscript, and Special Collections Library Duke University Box 90767, Smith Warehouse Durham, NC 27708 919-660-5982 [log in to unmask] On Mon, Aug 9, 2010 at 11:26 AM, Christian Dupont <[log in to unmask]>wrote: > > > Greetings, > > > > Can anyone point me to examples of EAD-encoded finding aids that use CJK or > other non-Latin Unicode character sets? > > > > I’ve browsed online a bit, but haven’t come with any examples yet. > > > > Hoping someone on the list will be able to point me to some. > > > > Many thanks in advance, > > > > Christian > > > > _________________________________________________________ > > Christian Dupont > > Aeon Program Director > > Atlas Systems - a company promoting library excellence through efficiency > > phone: 757-467-7872 x215 fax: 757-467-7875 mobile: 434-242-6096 > > [log in to unmask] > > http://www.atlas-sys.com/ > > > > It’s about time.
