Subject: [PCCLIST] "PCC & RDA: Breaking the Silence" (PCC
Participants' Meeting at ALA Midwinter)
*Apologies for cross-postings*
The Program for Cooperative Cataloging invites PCC members
and the larger library community to the PCC Participants’ Meeting.
Responding to a set of questions related to their experience in applying RDA
during the U.S. RDA Test, a panel of catalogers will talk about their
experiences as PCC participants in the test. The speakers will represent
the existing MARC-based PCC programs (BIBCO, NACO, and CONSER) and the non-MARC
metadata viewpoint. Discussion will focus on what they learned during the
test that has a bearing on future PCC policy and operational matters.
