Most of the problems I had with cassettes have involved automobile players; they would quite often "eat" the tape; one could VERY carefully retrieve the "eaten" tape from the offending player...! I had (and hope I still do?) about 100-odd tapes of live performances of my blues band. I used a Sony deck with mike inputs, and a couple of inexpensive mikes duct-taped in place on either side of the small venue in which we were playing. "Fidelity" was surprisingly good...! Steven C.
