You�re invited to join us on Tuesday, April 12 as Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del) holds an open hearing entitled �Examining the President�s Plan for Eliminating Wasteful Spending in Information Technology<http://hsgac.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Hearings.Hearing&Hearing_id=8b4a7ea9-6522-48f7-8166-8bf0dbd5595d&utm_source=AdaptiveMailer&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=25%20Point%20Plan%20Hearing&org=2021&lvl=100&ite=1307&lea=5514130&ctr=0&par=1>.� With more than $80 billion spent on IT each year and the increasingly critical role of IT in serving the needs of the American people, wasteful spending practices cannot continue. The hearing will take a deeper look at the efforts of the Obama Administration to curb the Federal IT budget. Panels comprised of Federal and industry experts will deliver testimony on President Obama�s 25-Point Plan and examine progress being made on implementation.

MeriTalk will release a new study � "Join the Dots: A Point-to-Point Perspective on the 25-Point Plan" � detailing the Federal IT community's response to OMB's Fix IT program.
