I've been asked to compile some information and to provide some overview for the 2011 Best Practices for Government Libraries.  This annual publication, produced by Lexis/Nexis, draws upon the talent of many Federal librarians each year.  The theme for the 2011 edition is called "E-Initiatives and E-Efforts: Expanding Our Horizons."

I would like to provide some information about initiatives that you may be managing or planning your own libraries. If you are interested in sharing some information, please send a short paragraph about the project and why it's making a difference in your agency.  There are many great projects occurring and I would like to capture as many of them as possible for this publication. Whether you are in a large library or a small library, please consider sharing your work with the rest of us.

Please send your submission to me no later than April 20 so that I can compile them all into one document. Please send responses to [log in to unmask]. I need to submit the piece by April 29th and I need some time to pull it all together.
