Regarding Steve Smolian's question about removing Scotch tape and Dave
Nelson's reply:

I've never tried WD-40, but Dave has had success with it. For my part, I
have always used rubber cement thinner. Dissolving such adhesives is its
one purpose. It helps to very lightly score the thing one wants to remove
(without cutting what's underneath of course) with a razor blade so the
thinner can get under the tape in the middle. It then dissolves the adhesive and
the pieces can just be lifted off. Some semi-dissolved goo might be left,
but another application of thinner and a wipe removes it. Confession: I've
never done this with Scotch tape, so this is only a suggestion. But I have
done it with hundreds of adhesive price stickers on LP covers and it's
always worked like a charm, with no effect on the ink.
