Dear Colleagues,

The Library of Congress is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Peace Corps with an online annotated bibliography  < http://www.loc.gov/peacecorps/ > of selected books in the Library of Congress collections authored by returned Peace Corps volunteers and a few former staff members. It contains a listing of 284 books published between 1964 and 2011. Each entry links to a Library of Congress Online Catalog record, which contains more information about the book.

Library Services staff members are invited to view a temporary display of Peace Corps related items from the Library’s collections on Thursday, September 22, 2011 in LJ-113, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm.  With images of President John F. Kennedy and Sargent Shriver, the small display features historical material from the American Folklife Center, Geography and Maps Division, Law Library, Prints and Photograph Division, Manuscript and the Serial and Government Publications Division.

Hope you are able to visit.

Sincerely,

Sabrina Thomas
