Happy Thursday! I wanted to share a nice article in the Librarian Wardrobe project that speaks highly of our specialized area of librarianship.

That is a fun new project. I'd also suggest looking at Librarian Wardrobe, http://librarianwardrobe.com, which has been a sensation the past year. There are great interviews along with the self-submissions.
For anyone with 5 minutes on their hands, here is a good interview about the intent of the project via one of the dedicated volunteers, Erica Findley: http://americanlibrariesmagazine.org/ala-members-blog/erica-findley-discusses-emerging-leaders-and-librarian-wardrobe

Fellow Documents Enthusiasts,
A couple of librarians have started a photo blog called This is What a Librarian Looks Like at http://lookslikelibraryscience.com/. It was inspired by a similar blog called "This is What a Scientist Looks Like." Here's some info from the invitation at
What: a site to go beyond the bun and challenge old, outdated librarian stereotypes with photos of real librarians in their real lives doing real stuff
Who: YOU! The site is up and running and ready for submissions. So find a picture that you think best represents you to the world and submit it! Please don’t submit photos of others and be tasteful! This is a fun, light-hearted project, please approach it in that spirit!
You're also invited to share your name, title, institution and something about your work and/or personal life, but that is up to you.
I think it would be great to see bundles of documents staff submit photos here. If you're so inclined, visit http://lookslikelibraryscience.com/submit and submit a photo. You can find mine at http://lookslikelibraryscience.com/post/17644473621/daniel-cornwall-head-of-technical-and-imaging.
