NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MEDICINE BETHESDA, MARYLAND DEPUTY CHIEF, PUBLIC SERVICES DIVISION The National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, is now recruiting for the position of Deputy Chief of its Public Services Division.. The National Library of Medicine (NLM) is the world’s largest medical library and a major organizational component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and is responsible for collecting, preserving, and promoting the dissemination of information important to the progress of medicine and public health, both nationally and internationally. The successful candidate for this position will serve as Deputy Chief of the Public Services Division and participate fully with the Chief in directing and managing all activities of the Division. This position is located within the Division of Library Operations (LO), National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). PSD is looking for creative leadership in a variety of areas including oversight of digitization activities, web and social media, resource sharing, cooperative internal and external projects, and development of consumer health vocabularies.
