Hello again! First, thanks to everyone who responded to my request for primary inspection of Aeolian-Vocalion's vertical-cut discs earlier this month, as well as to those who expressed interest in the project. If you haven't received a response from me yet, I'll get to it asap, or send me another email. Second, for the everyone's convenience (and for those who would still like to participate), I've posted a list of all the discs that either don't have matrix numbers, or are still in need of primary inspection: http://www.phonostalgia.com/aeolian. Please have a look and see if you own any of the discs on the list. Considering how scarce many of these discs are (perhaps the rarest U.S. label run of the Great War era?), I'm actually impressed at how many I've been able to confirm, but I still think I can do better. I hope to get this list distributed to every hand I can get, so please pass this link along to anyone you know who could probably help. Once November 15th comes around, I'll re-evaluate the situation and see what steps to take next. I don't expect to find every one of them, but I'd like to get this list as small as possible. Let's try for it! Thank you all for your interest, -Ryan.
