Following the ICSTI conference (http://www.icstiannual.com/) on October 17, 2012, Elsevier is offering a free seminar on the topic of “Research Evaluation in Practice” at the National Geographic Society Headquarters, located at 1145 17th Street, N.W. Washington, D.C., 20036. The seminar will  take place from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Separate registration is required.

 

This seminar brings together experts from industry, academia and government who will present and discuss the different ways in which their organizations use evaluative methodologies for funding and policy decisions.  Special attention will be given to European practices in a talk by Dr. Marc Luwel, a managing director of the Flemish Agency for Research Infrastructure.
