Actually, the sound editors I knew used and needed 4 gang synchonizers with picture in the 1st gang and sound heads on the other three, since they were working with the multiple "units" to go to the dubbing stages.  That way, they could manually wind the tracks on the bench to hear how they would play together (nicely, one would hope).

If nothing else, this thing makes a neato doorstop! Definitely a cool toy too.

Moviola model SYB 2-gang 35mm synchronizer and counter. All working, green paint is nice, Moviola escutchen plate intact, all dials and numbers intact. Could use some new grease but everything works as designed.

There are probably some old sound editors on this list who never want to see one of these things again!
