Internship Description

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is offering an internship position for students pursuing a graduate degree in library and information science, history or related fields, to gain valuable work experience. The selected candidate will create metadata describing historical photos for the Federal Reserve Systemís centennial celebration to take place in 2013. The intern may also provide support for other centennial projects covering a range of ongoing archival and information management initiatives aimed to preserve and make publicly accessible documents and photos that reflect the history and contributions of the Federal Reserve.

The internship is located in Washington, D.C. and has flexible part time hours during the school year with the possibility of continuing full time over the summer. Candidates should have experience with creating metadata, digital imaging, or historical records. Experience with MS Windows/Office a plus.


Candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and undergraduate and graduate unofficial transcripts (scanned unofficial transcripts) to [log in to unmask]. Interviews are conducted by telephone and selections are based solely on academic records and references.
