Am I missing something? The NAR in OCLC still has the old form of name.

Thansk Janice. You didn't step on mine, and have saved me a job.

I will, however, make sure all of our cataloguers are reminded of the need to evaluate pre-AACR2 access points.

Regards

Richard

I hope I didn’t step on anybody’s toes, but I fixed it this morning to Pennington, Anne, 1934-1981.

Thanks for agreeing with me, John (at least I think and hope you are agreeing with me). I hope somebody rda-“compatible” will change the record.

The record was coded AACR2-compatible and had a 667 warning field until yesterday.  I think somebody goofed.

The authority record below is coded as rda. I have checked OCLC records for usage for this author and find no instances of “Anne Elizabeth Pennington.” The majority of usages are Anne Pennington, and I find some A.E. Pennington, one Anne E. Pennington, two instances of En Penington (Polish editions). Can anyone explain why Pennington, Anne Elizabeth was chosen as the authorized form under rda when “Elizabeth” never seems to appear in usages and is not cited in any 670 field on the record?

I want to change the heading to Pennington, Anne. However, I have not received naco rda training so assume I cannot.
