Hi Tom:

I suggest you personally contact Kevin at KAB:
http://www.kabusa.com/frameset.htm?/ttables.htm
and see if he can locate you any NOS (new old stock) or mint-condition Technics SL-1200mk5
turntables. I would buy at least two of them. Then have Kevin do his 3-speed mod and I also
recommend his fluid-damping mod. You may want his improved power supply mod, too.

All of those mods, and also the high-grade wires and connectors mod, should come out to about $2k
per turntable (based on current ebay pricing for mint-condition SL-1200's). I don't think you can
touch the performance and flexibility of those systems for anywhere near that money going other
routes.

As you probably know, grooved-disc playback can be an endless money pit, with marginal improvements
often costing major dollars.

> 1. Three speed

> 3. Sturdy (we use it every day, all day long)
> 4. good specs (low rumble, low wow & flutter)
