Drake [log in to unmask] Public Information creates value for society and benefits for individuals and organizations. Documenting and communicating specific benefits relating how individuals use internet public resources are more effective than presenting the usual generalizations. The objective of this book is to document individual benefits of online public information developed by government agencies. For example, student my learn how to do an experiment from NASA produced information or a business person may find needed data to solve a problem on a Commerce database. Funders and others relate more easily to stories about people then abstract notions of value. Ideally, experts from government agencies will contribute short articles and/or stories about specific benefits. The stories may be generated from phone calls, in person conversation, email or snail mail. Contributions should contain descriptions of the agency's information offerings to the public. Any stories or write-ups you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
