Appraising Economic Evidence: From Effectiveness to Efficiency in Evidence-Based Care Economic evidence plays a key role in the delivery of evidence-based healthcare, as clinicians, patients and policymakers must factor in the costs of different treatment options alongside their effectiveness. In this 1.5-hour session, you will gain a better understanding of the nature and importance of economic evidence, how systematic reviews of economic evidence impact delivery of evidence-based healthcare, and an overview of the methodologies used to establish whether the economic evidence supports a particular policy or practice. Plus ask your questions during a live Q&A session. Our speakers are an economist and a physician who are experts at synthesizing economic evidence from a global perspective: - Dr. Judith Streak Gomersall BA(Hons) Mcom PhD, Research Fellow, Centre for Research Excellence in Translational Science for Chronic Disease Management in Indigenous Populations, The Joanna Briggs Institute, School of Translational Health Science, Faculty of Health Sciences, The University of Adelaide, Australia
