Someone at IMLS did a map of libraries in U.S.  I wonder if we could get him involved?

Yes, that November timeframe seems fine.  But you're right, it's dependent on the presenters.  I'm assuming that someone from DC by the Book is crucial; I think this time we're looking for specific technical information rather than a general round-robin about who's done a map.  Or is our agenda this time Everything Involved in Creating an Online Literary Map -- from conceptualization to software...?

*sigh*  I'm going to have to get my head back into this subject matter; I seem to think about it intensively every couple of years and then forget everything I know about it!

Thanks so much, Robin,

Hi Mary,

I will check with my colleague at the State Library and we’ll send several dates. Is sometime between  Oct 30 and into November 22  about right? Would you rather do December? We’ll have to line up presenters too.

Let me know,

Robin

Fantastic, Robin, thanks so much for looking into this.  I'll be happy to make a Doodle poll to pick the day, but first you should say what works for you.  Will you email me some suggested dates and times?

Dear friends,

Our Adobe license will enable Iowa to host a webinar on literary maps for all those who want to participate. Sharon, Mary and others,  how do you want to proceed?

I would very much like to attend a webinar on literary maps and talk about how we can use them to highlight the state center network.

I can't sponsor a webinar this fall as I reduced the audience size on our account.  I think someone mentioned that she (was it Robin in Iowa?) used Adobe Classroom and might be able to host a future meeting.  Or does anyone else have access to Go to Webinar or some such?  Go to Meeting is limited to 25 attendees ... so not enough for our purposes.

Regards, Sharon

NH has not done anything on a literary map, but I would be very interested in a webinar on the subject  so I can learn from the people who have done this. Great suggestion Mary.

Subject: webinar re literary maps?

Dear all,

It seems as though many of us are interested in moving forward with literary maps, and I have a few questions:

1.  After the Ideas Exchange and after our last webinar, there was some talk that the information from DC by the Book (including software details) was going to be disseminated.  I can't find anything in my emails; did I miss it?  It's been known to happen!

2.  Are people interested in having another CFB webinar on this topic?  We'd have to be sure that DC and other knowledgeable people were involved.  Any interest?

Thank you all,
Mary

Hi, Curtis,

It was nice seeing you at the National Book Festival.  Our Literary Map does have a form like the one you describe here: http://library.uncg.edu/dp/nclitmap/contact.aspx

The criteria for inclusion is here:  http://library.uncg.edu/dp/nclitmap/about.aspx

Hope this helps,

Subject: Literary Map Suthor Submission Guidelines

For those of you involved with your state’s online literary map:

1.      Do you have an online fillable form that authors/publishers can submit recommendations? If so, what is the URL?

2.      If you have written submission guidelines, can you please email me a copy? [log in to unmask]

SC is getting ready to launch a newly revised SC Literary Map soon so I’ll keep everyone posted.

I’ll be happy to compile all responses and let everyone have a copy.

Thanks!
