The National Library of New Zealand is looking for an experienced Digital Preservation Techncial Specialist to provide high level technical services and specialist advice related to digital preservation.

You will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Library's digital preservation programme. This is a core role in ensuring the ongoing operations of the Library's ingest, maintenance, management and long-term preservation activities in support of the Library's digital collections.

You will be a member of a team of 7 staff within the Preservation Research & Consultancy team and be expected to:

You will have substantial practical experience with digital preservation and demonstrated expertise in managing applications. You will have strong inter-personal skills with particular emphasis in the role on engagement with the business and with GTS and ideally you will have a tertiary qualification in information technology, computer science or information science or its equivalent.
