The Outreach Committee of the Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC) posts the following message. --- SAVE THE DATES: 2014 ARSC CONFERENCE, CHAPEL HILL, NORTH CAROLINA --- The 48th annual ARSC Conference will be held May 14-17, 2014 at the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel. The hotel is just minutes from downtown and the University of North Carolina, and within close proximity of Duke University and the Research Triangle Park. The Chapel Hill / Raleigh / Durham area boasts a vast array of museums, performing arts venues, and restaurants. Attractions include: The Southern Folklife Collection, the Ackland Art Museum -- UNC at Chapel Hill, Morehead Planetarium, North Carolina Ballet, North Carolina Botanical Garden, North Carolina Opera, and the North Carolina Symphony. The Pre-Conference Workshop, "All Things Digital," to be held on May 14, 2014, will focus on the management of file-based audio collections, digitized and born digital. The workshop will be offered simultaneously in-person and online.
