Last weekend I came across an article in *The New York Times* about the closing of Hollywood Park in Los Angeles.

In the interview with Kip Hannan, who is in charge of the park's media production, he voiced great (grave?) concerns over the fate of decades of broadcast materials. I suspect these historic broadcasts, if properly preserved and made available, could have tremendous research value.

I am wondering if any here on the list knows of any follow up to this? Has an institution expressed interest in these materials?
