This note announces the establishment of two new BIBFRAME efforts:

BIBFRAME Implementation Testbed, whose purpose is to encourage development of BIBFRAME test implementations.

BIBFRAME Implementation Register, whose purpose is to list implementations - experimental, existing, developing, and planned.

For more information, see

These are two separate initiatives that will be important for implementation testing in 2014.  However, it is expected that there will be significant overlap: Testbed organizations are encouraged to register their implementations, and those who register their implementations are encouraged to participate in the Testbed.

Also in support of the 2014 year of implementations, a core vocabulary for BIBFRAME has been published with three views.  The vocabulary should be accessed from the above BIBFRAME home page as there are additional documents cited there that describe the design of the vocabulary and help to read it, especially the "Category view".

The BIBFRAME web site is in the process of transition to a new organization so please pardon our dust for a couple more weeks as we get it reconfigured.
