EAC-CPF is intended for describing people, corporations and families regardless of their role. Whether a given person is a creator or a subject of archival material is irrelevant, since a C, P or F may fill different roles for different collections.

Please help me out? To what degree is EAC-CPF expected to be a way of describing creators of archival records and to what degree is it expected to describe the people in archival records? Also, is the general idea to create a critical mass of these descriptions and then form something like centralized authority database? -Eric Lease Morgan
