Dear Jan, I am glad Tom has had good experience with UPS, but in New Jersey where I live, I avoid them at all cost. My experience is almost the opposite--almost every box arrives damaged (corners mashed, feet thru boxes where someone has stood on them, etc.). Plus they don't deliver when they say they will, and when you have to pick something up at the UPS plant, which is not convenient for me, they are surly and rude. If there is any other option for delivering something, I tell people not to use UPS.
