2014 Training Institute for Federal Library Technicians
"Value Added: Essentials for Growth"

Join your colleagues for the 2014 FEDLINK Technicians Institute.  Offered every other year, this year's five-day training institute will focus on the dynamic skills technician's need to support the mission and operations of their federal library or information center.  Using the FEDLINK Competencies for Federal Librarians<http://www.loc.gov/flicc/publications/Lib_Compt/2011/2011Competencies.pdf> as a curricular benchmark, the institute will feature library science and federal library management topics including:
O   Federal Contracting
O   Acquisitions
O   Preservation and Disaster Preparedness
O   Budgeting
Featured speakers are library leaders form a variety of federal agencies including the Department of Justice, Department of Agriculture, the General Services Administration and the Library of Congress.
