Just to supplement Creighton's points about AtoM (thanks Creighton!), in our most recent version (2.1), we have added a field that will allow you to link directly to other descriptions in AtoM. This is paired with the content standards-based free-text field in our description templates (such as 6.3 Related archival materials in the DACS template).
