Regarding: "I hope this redundancy will not carry over into Bibframe."

BIBFRAME is a container, not a set of cataloging rules. Redundancy in MARC or RDA will result in redundancy in BIBFRAME data, upon conversion from those formats, but there's nothing that says you have to put the same data in multiple places if you're creating new BIBFRAME data... except cataloging rules.
If we knew that certain fields were always redundantly recorded in exactly the same manner (from all partners data) we could test for that and dedup, but transformation would go a lot slower.

Interesting note: in rdf, if a triple is truly redundant, it will overlay it's previous iteration, whereas in a record-based approach, it will appear twice.
Consider:

bf:Work bf:language     <http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/languages/eng>;
    bf:language <http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/languages/eng> .

In a triplestore, that's one triple. On a page or in a document, it's two lines repeating the same information.

Hi Mac,
   That was Karen's question.

Cindy asks:

Good question. I particularly question the value of RDA redundancy, e.g., for a commentary having a 610 plus a 710 with $i for the work being criticised, and the repeating of 538 data in 34X for videos..

I hope this redundancy will not carry over into Bibframe.
