Librarians in the Washington, DC area might be interested in attending an event IMLS is hosting this Thursday evening in collaboration with the Congressional Maker Caucus, Maker Media, and Nation of Makers. The June 11 Capitol Hill Maker Faire will kick off a celebration of making in the Nation's Capital and is being held in conjunction with the much larger National Maker Faire<http://nationalmakerfaire.com/> on June 12 and 13. It will be a fun and interactive event for members of the public, including members of Congress and their staff. Over 30 exhibitors are confirmed, with hands-on displays, such as robots, crafts, 3D printers, and other new manufacturing tools. The event is free, but registration is required.
