I'd go with your option 2, Title of the Person, definitely. I hate it when people use single recent active dates; it's so unhelpful to the user. And "Editor of..." would be an Other Designation, which you're only supposed to get to once you've exhausted other possibilities.

Dear All,
I have a person with a very common name which conflicts with another and very little information about her.
With 9.19.1 I seem to have three options:
1. $d active 2014. (which seems a little ridiculous)
2. $c Magistr ([=Master] on title page with name, again not a very good choice but it seems to me better than 1)
3. $c (Editor of [very long title])
Option 2 was only recently allowed at the same level as option 1. Certainly option 3 would be the most distinctive.
The subject of the work has compound elements, artistic, cultural and narrowly ethnological, so trying to determine her
profession is out of the question. She could be a member of the ethnic group, an artist or designer, or an ethnologist.
Is there any agreement on what would be preferred in an instance like this?
Thank you,
