By the way, semi-related. I now have a Benchmark DAC2 in the big system upstairs. Because this 
latest generation displays the sample and bitrate on the front panel, I can confirm that the 
Logitech Squeezebox Touch, driven by Logitech Media Server on my NAS box, with the Logitech firmware 
updated with the unofficial patch to unlock the built-in ability to handle 192kHz sample rates, 
always passes the correct data streams to the Benchmark via a coaxial SPDIF cable. I still can't 
believe Logitech stopped making those things. A great digital streamer with great functionality and 
rock-solid server software for under $300. Even the cheezy-seeming remote control holds up over 
time, and the whole thing can be driven remotely from a web browser addressing the Logitech server 
on the NAS or via iPhone app.
