Hello all,

While many of you are likely aware of our preconference event—the Thing-athon, there are two other important RDA events at  the Midwinter meeting in Boston that I encourage all to attend.

RDA Forum – Saturday, January 9th, 10:30-11:30am – Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, Room 102B

This meeting will address the progress made in the new governance and strategy for RDA set out by the RSC Board. Gordon Dunsire, Chair of the RDA Steering Committee, will report on recent changes in the committee structure and outline activities and issues in implementing the strategy. James Hennelly , Managing Editor of RDA Toolkit, will provide an update about ongoing development on the Toolkit, the Registry, and the JSC website, as well as upcoming print releases of RDA and RDA Essentials.

RDA Tech Forum – Monday, January, 11th, 1:00-2:30pm – Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, Room 258C

This event will be an open discussion of all technical matters related to RDA and RDA Toolkit. Vendors and Toolkit users are invited to meet with Toolkit staff and members of the RDA Development Team to discuss potential improvements to Toolkit content and performance as well as issues related to the RDA Registry. This meeting is intended as a kick-off to a full reevaluation of the Toolkit with the aim of completing a site redesign in the next couple of years.

Hope to see you in Boston,

Jamie
