Yesterday, the Jakarta office welcomed Mr. Widiyanto to the office. He has very valuable experience; all of us look forward to working him. He is getting his employee badge and email. I am sharing his statement:

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Bina Iman Widiyanto a new staff at Library of Congress Jakarta starting 11 January 2016 for the position of a Library Technician (Preservation and Reformatting Specialist).

Graduated from University of Indonesia in 1999 I was directly worked as a librarian, from Newspaper and Magazine Library (The Jakarta Post and Tempo Magazine), University of Indonesia Central Library, Law & Tax Consultant Library and KITLV (Koninklijk Instituut voor Taal-, Land- en Volkenkunde/Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies)-Jakarta. I was for more than ten years working at KITLV as Head of Serials and Digitalization Division. During my tenure at KITLV I with a team developed a program of collection digitalization. I managed to bridge communication between several publishers to get permissions to digitized their publication materials (journal, magazine and newspaper) either with scanned their hard copy or get directly the digital version of their printed publications.

I am very excited and eager to contribute of my experiences, knowledge and skills to enhance the Library of Congress in the future.
