Associate Dean, University of New Hampshire Library The University of New Hampshire Library is the intellectual center of a research-high, land-, sea-, and space-grant institution. With its stunning formal reading rooms overlooking campus woods and its location at the center of campus, the main library is more than a symbolic icon -- it is a busy, active place encompassing the Library, Academic Technology, and the Writing Center. Branch libraries serving engineering and the physical sciences enjoy strong faculty support and a loyal student following. The UNH Library is a member of the Boston Library Consortium, which provides resource sharing and professional development across research institutions in the region. With a number of new library faculty due to retirements and the leadership of a new Dean, the Library is building partnerships across campus to maximize the Library's impact on teaching, learning, research, and service at UNH. The Library is leveraging this time of transition to evolve a dynamic and vibrant organization. We are seeking an Associate Dean to play a vital leadership role in this transformation. If your leadership style works well in a library with minimal hierarchy and high commitment to collaborative engagement, consider this unique opportunity at the flagship public academic library in the Granite State. The Associate Dean will coordinate library services, collections, and technology initiatives and serve as a catalyst, problem-solver, and relationship-builder. The Associate Dean will work closely with the Dean, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Services, and the library faculty's Department Chair to provide overall leadership and management for the UNH Library. The Associate Dean will serve as a partner to the Dean and as an ambassador and spokesperson for the Library. The University of New Hampshire is a major research institution, providing comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate programs and graduate programs of distinction. UNH is located in Durham on a 188-acre campus, 60 miles north of Boston and 8 miles from the Atlantic coast, and is convenient to New Hampshire's lakes and mountains. There is a student enrollment of over 15,000 students, with a full-time faculty of over 600, offering 90 undergraduate and more than 70 graduate programs. The University seeks excellence through diversity among its administrators, faculty, staff and students. The university prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, veteran status, or marital status. Application by members of all underrepresented groups is encouraged. For a full job description and application process, please visit https://jobs.usnh.edu/
