Subject: National Geospatial Data Assets Theme and and Datasets Reports and Dashboards

Steering Committee Members,

At the April 8th Steering Committee meeting (tomorrow) information will be provided about the Geoplatform's Performance Dashboard and its subsequent public release. Prior to its release, agency SAOGIs, theme leads and dataset managers need to be fully aware of the type of content presented in the dashboards and related reports, and aware of the NGDA portfolio management process and reporting tools. Internal coordination within and across the agencies with theme or dataset management responsibilities is needed. Please note that the information in the reports is currently for official use only and not yet publicly available. Part of the discussion at tomorrow's meeting will be about the future public release of this information.

This dashboard presents a summary of the:

·  National Geospatial Data Asset (NDGA), dataset Lifecycle Maturity Assessments (LMA)

·  NGDA Theme reports (in progress).

The LMA reports and dashboard summarize the maturity of a common set of data lifecycle metrics and are available for each of the 177 NGDA datasets. These contain general information (NGDA title, points of contact, and metatdata links) and output from the LMA survey (maturity responses to 19 survey questions, justification comments, and a number of attachments).

The NGDA Theme reports roll-up the dataset maturity information across each of the 16 NGDA Themes and report on the theme as a whole. These contain general information about the Theme Lead and LMA submission status, a pie chart with an overview of dataset maturity, bar charts showing the number of Datasets at each of the LMA stages, and the dashboard summary table containing maturity for each dataset in a Theme.

The dataset and theme managers across the agencies have developed and executed these reports over the past 2 years as part of the execution of the National Geospatial Data Asset Management Plan (NGDAMP). The NGDAMP is the 3-year process developed to implement OMB Circular A-16 Supplemental Guidance that implements the NGDA portfolio management process.

To access the theme and dataset reports associated with your agency please reach out to your agency's Theme Lead(s),
