Tuesday, May 17 (12noon-1:15pm): AFC Directors’ Round Table Discussion: Alan Jabbour, Peggy Bulger and Betsy Peterson will discuss the past, present and future of the American Folklife Center. Moderated by Cliff Murphy, Director, Folk Arts Program, National Endowment for the Arts. Open to the public - Madison Building, Mumford Room.
Tuesday, May 17 (4:30-6pm) Gathering of AFC Board and friends/wine and cheese: American Folklife Center offices, Thomas Jefferson Building G 49 .
Wednesday, May 18 (12noon-1pm): Homegrown Concert Series. Nakotah LaRance (Hoop Dancer from Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, NM). Coolidge Auditorium, Thomas Jefferson Building.
May 18: (6:30- 8pm.) American Folklife Center’s 40th Anniversary Reception. Great Hall, Thomas Jefferson Building. Brief remarks at 7pm.
