George,

Since I am teleworking today, I don’t have the ArcGIS software at my fingertips to guide you to the right tab that will enable you to reset the meridian for your map.  This link may help you to track down the specific menu that you need to set the coordinates to 0.0:  http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/map/page-layouts/customizing-your-map-extent.htm.  Maybe try selecting a different extent under the Data Frame tab…Greenwich may be a choice, etc.

Thank you for the advice but that does not seem to do it.

I looked in the Coordinate system within properties and it says that the central meridian is -90.0. I think that I need 0.0. If I could change that, I think that I would be done.

George,

You can set the Extent in the Data Frame Properties (right click on the map and select “Data Frame Properties”).

I need to recenter a map that I am working on in Arcmap to the prime meridian.

I would appreciate a suggestion on how to recenter it to zero, zero. It is currently centered on the US at -30 Long.
