Colleagues, The Best Practices Taskforce of the American Theological Library Association (ATLA), the Catholic Library Association (CLA) and the Association of Christian Librarians (ACL) announces the availability of the following publications: Best Practices for Authority Records in the Field of Religion Thesaurus of Religious Occupational Terms (trot) Both of these resources are freely available to the public at: https://www.atla.com/Members/programs/libtools/Pages/default.aspx The Thesaurus of Religious Occupational terms has been accepted by the Network Development and MARC Standards Office Library of Congress. It is designed to provide religious occupations for use in the 374 field of Name Authority Records, using the $2 code: trot. We are asked not to assign these terms for two months, to allow programmers to add the code to the validation programs.
