Join your colleagues for the 2016 FEDLINK Technicians Institute. Offered every other year, this year’s five-day training institute will focus on the dynamic skills technician’s need to support the mission and operations of their federal library or information center. Using the FEDLINK Competencies for Federal Librarians as a curricular benchmark, the institute will feature library science and federal library management topics including:

-Acquisitions Basics

-New Tools (SharePoint/Social Media)


-Customer Service

-Social Media and Metrics

Featured speakers are library leaders form a variety of federal agencies including the Departments of Education, Justice, and Transportation, Office of Personnel Management, Federal Reserve System, National Defense University, Air Force, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the General Services Administration and the Library of Congress.
