The Treasury Library<http://www.loc.gov/flicc/meeting_announcements/2016/ma102016.pdf>
Thursday, August 11, 2016
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Department of the Treasury Library is the second oldest Executive Branch library, celebrating its 200th year anniversary in 2017. Part of the Privacy, Transparency, and Records (PTR) Operations team, the library provides convenient access to mission critical information with electronic resource subscriptions, book collections, Interlibrary loans, and reference services. The library services Treasury's departmental offices and bureaus without a library, as well as provides historical and unclassified institutional information to the public

The tour will start at the library's main space in the Freedman's Bank Building, and include an overview of the history and the current collection. The tour will then continue through the underground tunnel to the Main Treasury building, to view highlights such as the Salmon Chase and Andrew Johnson Suites, the newly restored West dome and lobby, and the Cash Room.
