NLM Invites Eligible Applicants for Library Operations Unit Head Positions

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) is recruiting up to eight Unit Heads in the Division of Library Operations. Unit Heads serve as the foundation of Library Operations because they are the supervisors who keep our staff motivated and appreciated for the hard work they do every day.  We're looking for applicants who can demonstrate adaptability, effective change management, collaboration and communication skills, coaching, conflict resolution, commitment to leveraging diversity, mentoring, and motivating others.

The National Library of Medicine is located on the campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC. The 317-acre campus boasts plenty of green space, where we have regular cultural events for staff and the public. A Metro subway station (Medical Center on the Red Line) and bus stops on the NIH campus provide access to DC, suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia. We also have free parking.
