Hello Casey

We created the NAR; I doubt our records will show now if we submitted a deletion request, but we can submit another one to make sure that the LCSH record is deleted.

Subject: [PCCLIST] Duplicate authority records for fictitious entities

Hello all,

I'm aware that fictitious persons are being re-established in the NAF over time, with their corresponding LCSH records cancelled. My question is how long of a lag time can be expected between the NAR being created and the subject AR being cancelled.

Bolitar, Myron ǂc (Fictitious character) (nb2015010879; created June 10, 2015 [nearly 14 months ago])

Bolitar, Myron (Fictitious character) (sh 97001333; still in the OCLC copy of the LCSH file)

Is this oversight on the part of the NAR creator? Or is this just how backed up LC is on this project?
