Dear Matthew,

First, thanks for the précis and bio for our November meeting notice.
Second, congratulations on the Hersey restoration. His little book was on
our bookshelves from my earliest childhood. It had the distinction of being
the first full-issue piece in THE NEW YORKER, something one would never
encounter in today's sadly diminished rag with that name. What would be the
possibility of devoting a portion of an ARSCNY meeting to some of the
recording? I'm sure our members would enjoy connecting with that broadcast.
I had lunch with Tim Brooks yesterday and had a nice opportunity to sing
your praises, which was no trouble to do.
