I imagine that the preferred title of a work is much less likely to change over time than a person's preferred name.

Subject: When to use existing authority, when to change

I notice that under constructing personal names, we are generally not to change the name it has been already established, usually under AACR2 guidelines.

What about authority records for titles?  I do not see such a proviso for titles.  Why or why not?
