No. 17-27

DATE          :  April 12, 2017
TO                :  Network Libraries
FROM : David Pelizzari, Supervisor, Publications and Media Section
SUBJECT : Order your "Get in Touch with a Talking Book" posters online

NLS is continuing to produce a new series of posters featuring patrons of the braille and talking book program. Posters are being released periodically through 2018. Libraries may customize the posters with their contact information.

We are now taking orders online for the third poster in the series, "Get in Touch with a Talking Book." This poster features Washington, D.C.-area patron Teriana Cox, a longtime disability activist, loading a book cartridge into an NLS digital talking-book machine.

The poster is available in an 8-1/2 x 11-inch size, with or without an attached backing easel. Libraries may order up to 100 copies of the flat non-easel poster and up to 50 copies of the easel version. Libraries may choose to customize the posters by adding up to three lines of text: (1) the name of your library, (2) its phone number, and (3) its website.

Please follow these steps to place your order:

*         Go to https://nlsbard.loc.gov/2017poster.
* Follow the instructions for completing the form. Be sure to provide a street address for shipping, as deliveries cannot be made to PO boxes.
* When you have completed the form, select Submit. You will have a chance to review and print a confirmation of your order. Carefully check the library contact information that will be printed on your posters. If you need to make a change after you have submitted the information, send an email to Mark Layman, project coordinator, at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.

Orders for customized posters must be placed by the close of business on Friday, April 21. More posters will be available to ship from inventory, but these cannot be customized, and will carry only the NLS contact information. Orders are scheduled to ship in June.
