Spring 2017 Program: Terry Reese on MarcEdit

Wednesday May 3, 2017: 5:00PM – 7:45PM

Berger Forum, Stephen A. Schwarzman Building – New York Public Library

Please join us for a talk by Terry Reese, creator of MarcEdit, free software developed primarily for the library cataloging community to lower technical barriers and empower librarians to take more control over their organization’s metadata. Created in 1999 as a global editing utility for MARC data, MarcEdit has since evolved into a full suite of tools to create, harvest, and manipulate a variety of non-MARC metadata as well. This presentation will provide an overview of the project, how it was started and where it is going.

Spring 2017 Workshop: Advanced MarcEdit

Thursday May 4, 2017: 9:00AM-2:30PM
