Hi Ben,

I forwarded your question to Seth Winner and got this:" Recorded in 1948. Beryl Chaggy was its cantor."

He says that there may be more than one cantor on that record, even though one was listed. He says that the D8 in the matrix number indicates the 1948 recording date. He also says it may be a radio broadcast.

Subject: [ARSCLIST] Can anyone tell me?

Hello everyone

I have a 16" vinyl from the United States of America Navy Department.
It says "Jewish Divine Service".
The service is "performed" by Cantor Abraham Shapiro and the Choir of Temple B'nai Abraham of Newark, NJ, Max Helfman, conducting.
Series B, No. 14A - ND8-MM-10254

Can anyone tell me about this record?
