Great meeting today. 

Reminder that there are 2 different GHE tools for authoring maps:

ArcGIS Desktop 10.5: Desktop client available from wherever you get your software. Feel free to request it if you want to check it out.
ArcGIS Online: https://loc.maps.arcgis.com: Cloud version of authoring software, hosted by Esri on Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure. One place where we can (ultimately) publish maps for the general public. GHE admins create user name and user creates their own password. 
Staff GIS Portal: https://staff.gis.loc.gov: Server version of Esri Portal software. Looks very similar to the AGOL but is hosted on LC servers. All LC staff with Windows user names/passwords can access.
