Dear All,

Please excuse the duplication.

I haven’t been able to find any documentation for this but when a language expression  is found in both original script  and a romanized transcription of the original script, is this a case of 2 manifestations of the same expression or two separate expressions? I’m leaning toward the latter but the former also makes sense. I regularly encounter these in my work since I frequently catalog works which include facsimiles of manuscripts which may or may not have an accompanying romanized transcription. Also not unusual are works which include only the romanized transcription but may have indications of manuscript numbers and repositories.
