+++ Apologies for cross-posting +++ ********************************************************* Call for Conference Hosts iPRES 2020, 2021, 2022 http://ipres-conference.org/ipres/ ********************************************************* iPRES has evolved into the main international conference on the preservation of digital objects. Having been held annually since 2004 in places all around the world, with iPRES2017 coming up in Kyoto, Japan in Sep. 25-29 2017, iPRES2018 in Boston, Massachusetts, Sep. 24-28 2018, and iPRES 2019 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Sep. 16-20 2019, respectively, iPRES is now inviting bids by prospective conference hosts to run iPRES 2020, 2021 and 2022. Potential hosts are invited to submit a proposal for hosting any of the upcoming 3 editions of iPRES. Yet, with iPRES being committed to cover the digital preservation community as well as possible, we will aim at giving preference to the following regions for the annual editions as follows if all other qualitative aspects of two competing bids are equal: 2020: preferably from Asia/Oceania 2021: preferably from the Americas 2022: preferably from Europe and/or Africa However, potential hosts are invited to indicate, whether they see their bid limited to a specific year, or whether they would, in principle, be willing to host iPRES in any or two of the three years that the call is currently open for. Bids should follow the guidelines outlined in the "Guidelines for preparing bids to host iPRES" which is available from the homepage of the iPRES conference series at http://ipres-conference.org/ipres Bids need to be submitted by December 10 2017, 12:00 pm GMT by email to [log in to unmask] For questions, please contact [log in to unmask] Andreas Rauber on behalf of the iPRES Steering Group -- Stefan Strathmann Georg-August-Universitt Gttingen Gttingen State and University Library D-37070 Gttingen Platz der Gttinger Sieben 1 (Central Library, Room 2.23) +49 551 39-7806 (Tel.)
